Sri Venkatesha Suprabhatha is sung in the morning as a wake-up call for Lord Venkateshwara . It is recited at Tirupati to awaken Lord Venkateshwara. The rendition by M. S. Subbalakshmi can be heard in many houses each morning.

This shloka is always soothing..the music the lyrics. Thanks for uploading.
I noticed some pronunciation mistakes. They are very obvious to trained ears, and spoil the beauty of the recital and the meaning of the shloka. Would be nice if those could be corrected. The correct pronunciations can be obtained by looking at the devanigiri lyrics for this shloka. Just an opinion – not meant to offend anyone.

MS singing the Suprabhaatha……. takes me back to Saturday maornings of 1950s. It used to be “moning class” on saturdays. Between 7-30 and 10-30 am.m. and off you go and play and masth majaaa maadu.
As we used to walk up the road to school, almost from every house, shop or a small hotel we used to hear the enchanting voice of MS. Cold misty and rainy mornings of Malenaad are unforgettable. The purity of sound used to get enhance in that humid atmosphere.
We, 7-8 year-olds, hardly new what was meant by ‘enchantment’, ‘god’ or ‘worship’, but we used to halt at every door step and listen to a bit of this All India Radio prasaara and move on and reach the school by prayer time.
What a morning it used to be. The fact that it reverberates even today, after 50 years! and has made me think of god now is evidence enough to say that pathaNa or shravaNa of a dEvaraanaama is enough to reach God and get his/her blessings.
All the credit goes to MS who sand with devotion and the HMV who captured her voice on round shellac records of those days and the AIR station.
