karedare barabarade lyrics

My Bangalore ajji, father’s mom taught me this song when I was in 5th grade. I have been singing this from that time. So, here comes the lyrics for all Rayara devotees to sing on Thursday’s.

karedare barabarade Guruve || pa ||

vara mantralaya pura mandira tava carana sevakaru karava mugidu  Nimma || 1||

haridasaru su-svara sammeladi paravashadali bayteredu koogi Nimma ||2||

pusharapita kamalesha vithalana dasagresaru ee samayadi Nimma ||3||

Here are the lyrics for those of you who know kannada.

    It is ‘pUshara pita’ and not ‘bhoosharapita’.
    The word ‘pUshara’ is a transformed word from Sanskrit language. It is ‘pushpa-shara’ which means ‘arrow of flowers’, another name of
    Manmatha (pUshara)

      Hi,

      Vishwanath here.

      Shri. Maharajapuram Santhanam has sung this song melodiously. Does anybody know in which raga he has sung this song.

    thanks for the lyrics! Unlike Renuka I did not learn this from my mother, but grew up listening to her constantly humming this. Had forgotten (At least from conscious memory) all about this, until recently -when I listened to a U Srinvas rendition on the mandolin….twas mesmerizing to say the least…Then I had to hunt down the lyrics/saahitya! Thanks again. Hummaa.com has a couple of very good renditions – The above mentioned instrumental, and a vocal by MLV. Don’t miss them!

    Hi,

    Please let me know the meaning of the last line of last charana “poosha rapithaa”. In one of the other lyrics I have seen, it is given as “Bhoosura pita”, which seems to be at least have some meaning.

    Thanks
    Muralikrishna
