We all have eaten this during our school days in India right? Why should our kids miss anything we have done? I try to recollect and tell my daughter every single thing we did while we were kids. And also try to make sure she gets to enjoy as much,at least the food part. I know you all have fond memories of chatnipudi as well, but who can resist chatnipudi Anna right?
My Mom sent chatnipudi from India just 3 weeks back. It is sooo tasty. Thanks Mom. We have been eating it with almost everything; dosa, idli, rice. And, now when we have any leftover rice, the only thing my Daughter asks is “Amma, can you make me chatnipudi anna”?. It tastes so good. I am sure many of you have already eaten this, but if not here is what you need.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups left over rice
- 4 spoons chatnipudi
- 3 spoons oil or ghee
- salt to taste
Method:
Is there any method to do this? Nope, just take a bowl and mix all the ingredients listed above. Just keep eating. ![]()
One more look:
I will post the recipe for this tasty and mouth watering chatnipudi also.

Chatnipudi avalakki also is equally amazing..
One more tip : Try adding some lemon, fresh shredded coconut, and some cilantro to make it taste better.
