This song sung by Pt. Bhimsen Joshi is one of my all time favorites. However, I wasn’t able to find the song on the web. If you have a link, do share it. So, here comes the lyrics for this great song. As always in Kannada, and Braha Script in English.

Hello Meera,
What can say other then a Big Thanks and also urge you to continue the good work. Your site is so informative with all the Madhwa sampradaya and it’s simply wonderful. Your site is like a cheat sheet for me of what ever I learnt from mom or what my mom/mother-in-laws tell me now. Today I had to send this Thank You note as I have been waiting for you to post the lyrics of ‘Pavamana Jagada Prana’, as it happens to be my favorite song too. Unfortunately I cannot read kannada although ‘am a kannadiga:(. Nice of you to post the lyrics in English as well.
Thanks once again!
- Seema

Hi Seema,
Thanks so much for your nice comments. I started this blog for my daughter who has been traveling around the world with us and never learnt Kannada. I hope one day when she grows up, she will be able to read all these and appreciate my efforts.
If this blog is helping many others who don’t know Kannada, I am really happy about the same as well.

Hi Ma’m,
Thanks a ton for the lyrics. If it is not too much of an ask, can we get the meaning of the lyrics?
For some youngsters like us who haven’t studied Sanskrit or aren’t aware of the different styles of Kannada, understanding the verses become difficult, though I/we know the lyrics by-heart. At times, I use my Kannada and Hindi knowledge and try to relate them and understand. Chances of interpretation going wrong also exists!
I haven’t explored the blog much as of yet, but will surely do it. Also got the lyrics of ‘IshTu dina ee Vaikunta, eshTu dooravu ennutalidde…..”. Hopefully there will be more lyrics of the devotional songs and Dasara PadagaLu as well. Afterall, “Taanalla tannadalla, aase taravalla munde baahodalla….. Daasanaagu… Visheshanaagu…” Howdallave?
Regards,
Nagendra.
