I received an email from a mailing list which I have subscribed, which had links to several books on Hinduism. As I was browsing through the content of the web site which had several important books scanned, I found this simple and very well explained book which has details of all the festivals, the rituals which needs to be followed and so on.. This book is in Kannada. You can read the book online or even download a PDF file, whichever is convenient to you all.

I was at the temple last friday on garuda panchami day. I heard that either performing or sponsoring vainatheya homam (garuda homam) and/or even taking the payasam prasadam that was offered to homam would help the aspirant mothers to have a child.

I have a particular Sanskrit shloka for this.
I am writing it in English for you.It goes like this:
Devendrani namastubyam devendra priya bhamini |
Vivaham bhagyamarogyam putra labham cha dehi may ||
There are many poojas you can perform which are very simple.
If you have a silver cradle with Lord Krishna in it.You can worship it.
Pray to your family deity which is very important.Also there are many prayers .See the last phalastuti which contains putrarti labathe puthran (which means begetting a child).You can recite the Sri Yantroddharaka Stotra which is in this blog.
Lastly ,I would like to tell you that not to lose hope and faith in God.God will give you the best at the best time. Good luck!!
