Dear Meera
I have subscribed to your articles for the past one year and would like to thank you for keeping us close to our Madhawa culture.
I have one small request, I am married to a Sthanika Brahmin and would appreciate if you could give some ideas about their rites and rituals too.
Posted by meeraghu on August 5, 2011 at 12:09 pm
Deepa,
Appreciate your comment. Thanks very much. I am not sure I know what Sthanika Brahmin means? Can you help me there?
Posted by Deepa Rao on August 5, 2011 at 2:01 pm
Meera,
These Brahmins are from South Kanara area and are followers of Shiva / Subramanya.
Regards
Deepa

Meeraghu! If you’d attract 150,000 hits/contributions to this commendable site, it’s because of the blessings of Guru Maharaj Ragavendhra Swamy. This is a simple magic our Guru’s demonstrated to show what’d happen, if one recites his name. We shouldn’t fail to forget that our Guru is a descendant of Prahladha – the most liked devotee of Narayana, for whose sake, the Lord took the most divine and superior avatar, Lord Nrisimhar. That means, all these are due to Nrisimhar. Thank you, and continue your great services. – bgrinner.

It is not 150,000 it is 1,500,000 hits.
Anyway, thanks for your comments and yes, all this is due to Shri Raghavendra Swamy krupe. No doubt at all.

hello madam,
your blog is awesome. actually we have owned a house iam in search of god name for the house. please suggest me.
Posted by meeraghu on August 23, 2011 at 7:14 pm
Radhika,
No idea what you want? We named our house Guru Krupa, because we are devotees of Sree Raghavendra Swamy. You can use many names:
1. Guru Krupa
2. Hari Krupa
3. Durga Krupa
4. Lakshmi Krupa
5. Parimala – book written by Sree Raghvendra Swamy
so on and so forth….
Posted by Geetha on August 23, 2011 at 10:26 pm
Dear Meera, it is such a coincidence, we also have named our house in Chennai Guru Krupa since Lord Subramanya is our Kula Daivam and we are devotees of our Dear Guru Rayaru. Both are forms of Guru. It is so nice knowing you and talking to you also. It makes me feel very close to our Guru. I pray our Guru to bless you, your family and everyone around us. geetha
