Now that the festival season is approaching, it is important to start the pooja’s the right way. Attached is a link I found where you can find the complete reference for doing sankalpa. Please fill in the blanks like these for this year:
ನಂದನ ನಮ ಸಂವತ್ಸರೇ- Nandana Nama Samvatsara
ಭಾರತಕಂಡೆ – bharathakande or if you are residing outside India, the name of the country
ವರ್ಷ ಋತು – varSha Rutau
ಶ್ರಾವಣ ಮಾಸೇ – Shravana Mase
ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಪಕ್ಷೆ- Krishna Pakshe
And than based on the Hindu calendar fill in the ತಿಥಿ Tithi, ವಾರ day and ವಾಸರೆ
your Surname.

Meera equivalents of “jamboo dweepe, bhaaratha khande bharatha varshe … in India region, to be used for sankalpam in the US.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. When I was working in Minneapolis, I heard the priest saying “America Khande” and a few other equivalents, forgot that.
