Another yummy soft and easy chapathi to prepare on days you have to fast. It is quick, it is easy, it is delicious and to top it all it is healthy. My Husband said he can eat 20 chapathis. I had a mild heart attack. Haha. Daughter said ” Why don’t you prepare this chapathi instead of the regular ones?”. She also loved it with Raita.
There was 2 sweet potatoes lying on the counter waiting to be cooked. Like I said in my previous post, I am tired of making the same old food. Wanted to try something new. So, here is how I prepared the Sweet Potato Chapathi.
- Peel and Cook the sweet potatoes in microwave until soft as shown below in picture
- Mix whole wheat flour, crushed black pepper and salt
- Mix the dough with little water
- Make chapathis.
- Quick, easy, delicious and healthy.
P.S: Is Sweet Potato same as Yam? Is it the same Genasu ಗೆಣಸು we call in Kannada?

Meera, What do you call Suvarnagadde (ಸುವರ್ಣಗಡ್ಡೆ) in English? I think it is YAM and Sweet potato is Genasu (ಗೆಣಸು).
