As per Uttaradimatta Panchanga, this year in Virodhi Nama Samvatsara(ವಿರೋಧಿನಾಮ ಸಂವತ್ಸರ), Dhakshinayana(ದಕ್ಷಿಣಾಯನ‌), Varsha Ruthu(ವರ್ಷಾಋತು), Bhadrapada Masa(ಭಾದ್ರಪದ ಮಾಸ) starts from August 21st and ends on September 18th 2009.

August 22nd  – Swarna Gowri Vrata ಸ್ವರ್ಣ  ಗೌರಿ  ವ್ರತ (Uttaradi Matha only)
August 23rd  – Swarna Gowri Vrata ಸ್ವರ್ಣ  ಗೌರಿ  ವ್ರತ (Non Uttaradi Matha) and Ganesha Chaturthi ಗಣೇಶ  ಚತುರ್ಥಿ
