“Sri Hari Kathamruta Sara” was composed by Sri Jagannatha Vittala Dasaru, and is written in the Bhamini Satpadi(ಭಾಮಿನಿ ಷಟ್ಪದಿ) meter. You can read all the details provided at dvaita.org here:
I read several articles about why and how Sri Jagannatha Vittala Dasaru started writing this text in Kannada. The book I have mentions as such ” Once sri Vyasarayaru came in Sri Jagannatha Vittala Dasaru’s dream and asked him to write Sri Hari Kathamruta Sara in Kannada”. That’s when Sri Jagannatha Vittala Dasaru started writing the same.
I should mention that “Hari Kathamruta Sara” is written in Kannada. For those who don’t know Kannada, the baraha English script is posted just below each stanza. I will do my best to translate and provide relevant meanings for each and every word in Kannada and English as well.
Sri Harikathamruta Sara has 32 Sandhi’s and 988 Stanzas.

ಅಪನಿತು – Apanitu – one’s limitation to understanding, ನನ್ನ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ
ಆದರ – Aadara – respect, reverence, ಪ್ರೀತಿ
In the above Stanza, Sri Jagannatha Vittala Dasaru is telling us about the Lord Almighty. He says, it is equivalent to Amruta i.e. Nectar. A stepping stone to moksha. And one can obtain Moksha only by seeking the blessing of the Guru. And that he is telling us this story to his own limitation (ಅಪನಿತು – ನನ್ನ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ). And only to those people who believe, love, and respect the Lord.
The above stanza has to be recited before each and every Sandhi.

Shudda Brahma Paratpara Rama
Kaalatmaka Parameswara Rama
Shesha Talpa suka Nidritha Rama
Srimad Dasharata Nanda Rama
I have forgotten the lyrics and since I am staying in Kampala – East Africa, I am not having any of the books with me. If possible can anybody provide the above lyrics.

Dear Meeraji,
Most of the speaker’s during the discourses only talk on the victory attained by Dvaitha scholars over Advaitha scholars – just to uphold the Dvaitha philosopy of Sri Madhvacharya. However, core philosophy of Madhva Philosophy aren’t conveyed to lay men like me – who are desirous to understand and learn what Madhva said as well practice in their lives. May I request you to post commentaries on Sri Madhavacharya’s philosopy on similar lines of Mr. BNK Sharma’s Madhva Philosophy – which by and large people like us felt difficult to understand the true meaning – your detailed translations of Madhav Philosopy will be beneficial for us , as well we shall begin to learn. Also we request you to include Sri Raghavendra Swami’s books, and their translations please.
Hope you will be completing all the sandhis of Hari Kathamritha Sara in due course of time with translations in english.
Regards.

Namaste Meera ,
My recent India trip included a trip to Mantralyam and Chippagiri. The snaps of Chippagiri are uploaded below.
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=51910&id=100000102681889&l=19716faf7c
Thanks to Sri Hari Vayu I had a fantastic welcome and very nice darshan at all places.
VIjayDasarau’s brindavan is in Chippagiri,Kurnool District, AP.
How to Get There:
By Train:
Just 7 km from Guntakal Station (Major Junction); all auto drivers recognize this as VijayDasara katte also buses from Guntakal to adoni also stop at VijayDasara Katte as a request stop.
By Bus:
After the construction of the by pass roads, no bus goes directly goes to Chippagiri; the nearest major bus terminals are Alur ( 20 kms before Chippagiri) and Adoni (about 30 kms after Chippagiri). Taking local buses from these two places to Chippagiri is the last minute resort if you don’t get tickets anywhere.
The local roads are in pretty bad shape; and local buses are full of framers transporting produce so plan in advance. Trains to Guntakal is still one of the best ways to reach Chippagiri
By Taxis:
Taxis can be arranged from Alur or Adoni. I’ve not tried this option personally; but I’m told it’s feasible.
Alternative:
You can go to Mantralaya; book a cab from there. It takes a good 2 hours 1 way on bumpy roads so please plan accordingly.
Nearby places:
Bhogeshwara Rudra devaru temple in Chippagiri town. (Place where Sri VijayDasaru composed Kailasa Vasa Gaureesha eesha)
Casapura Anjaneya Temple (Vyasarayru prashitappane) is also quite popular.
Local buses to Adoni; all Mantralaya buses stop at Adoni
Navabrindavana is slightly nearer from Chippagiri than from Mantralaya
Jai Bharateesha,
Hrishikesh

Madam,
I would like to put some shlokas/bhakti literature in Kamadhenu in Kannada. Since I’m new to this type of e-work, how do I post them and what Kannada S/w I have to use? I am well versed in using Leap Office S/w. Will that hold good for this purpose? Please let me know.
regards

Shankara,
I use the baraha software. You can google the same, and you will find the download link. Once you have the shlokas, literature written down, please let me know.
I will send you my personal email and you can send it to me. I will post it here in my blog.
Thanks so much.

Dear Meera.
I have been visiting your blog for a little less than a year and thank you for maintaining such a beautiful and informative blog. I feel calm and happy reading the blog.
In regards to this particular article, my mom told me that reading or even hearing to Shri Hari kathamrutha sara is beneficial for easy pregnancy and delivery. My mother read 5 stanzas everyday to me in the evening during my pregnancy last year. It definitely helped me and my baby through a safe delivery.
Please continue your good work. Thank you very much once again.

Smitha,
Sandhyavandhane is done only by men. What pooja do you want?
