Thanks for posting this. I accidentally came to your blog when I was looking for the last speech of sri raghavendra swami. I found the lyrics for Sri Venkateswara Stotram too. It is one of my favorites. Thanks for making these available.

thanks a lot, lyrics of venkatesh stotra should be in sanskrit instead of english. in sanskrit it is better and easier to read and understand the meaning and prounciation.

    Hi Meghana,
I very well know that the lyrics have to be in their original language. However, if you see the several requests here, most ask for lyrics in English. If I have it in English, the next request will be in Kannada. In most cases, I have them in English and Kannada. Next, comes the request in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
And now it is in Sanskrit.
I know Kannada, Sanskrit and English, and not sure I can learn all the other languages and also satisfy all the visitors who come here.

I agree with meghana desai, i searched many places, but could not find sanskrit lyrics. would appreciate if you can provide. English has a lot of scope of error especially when it means sanskrit

    Hi,

Thanks for posting subprabathamm. I have some doubts relating to venkateshwara suprabatham and will be grateful if you can guide me on this

I have the following doubts under Sri Venkatesa Stotram:

    For the below Sloka:

vina venkatesam na nanatho na nathah
    sada venkatesam smarami smarami
    hare! venkatesa! prasida presida
    priyam venkatesa! prayaccha prayaccha

The meaning that you have mentioned is:

There is no saviour other than Venkatesa.
I will always pray to Venkatesa. O Hari Venkatesa!
Be pleased and grant us favours

I was trying to understand the meaning of “Prasida” and “Prayaccha” in Sanskrit. Can you please let me know the exact meaning of these 2 words? I tried to find this meaning in a sanskrit dictionary but however I was unsuccessful. If you could also let me know the root word (Moola Shabda) for “Prasida” and “Prayaccha” I would be very grateful to you.

    Many Thanks

    Warm Regards,
    Subha Narasimhan

Praseeda – Be kind to me
      Prayachcha – Please give
      The total meaning:
Except Venkatesa, there is no leader (God) !
I always think of Hari, Venkatesa
Oh Venkatesa, Please be kind to me !
Oh Venkatesa, please give which will be sweet(good) to me !

Your dedication is importantt han u r stotra is in english hindi or sanskrit .Every one cant read sanskrit,Just think u r indian first not an english or hindi or sanskrit .There are 28 states, and more than 200 languages tirupati lord wants u r dedication towards him not towards languages difference.

    Dear sister Meera,

I sincerely would like to thank you for providing the lyrics of Sri Venkatesha Stotra, I have a small suggestion. It would be great if the transliteration provided is consistent.

    For eg

    4. Adhi venkata saila mudara mather
    Janatha bimatha dhika danarathath
    Paradeva thaya gathi than nigamai
    Kamaladayithtan na param kalaye

    could be

    4. Adhi venkata shaila mudaraa mather
    Janatha bimatha dhika daanarathaath
    Paradeva thaya gathi thaan nigamai
    Kamalaadayithtaan na param kalaye

It would help beginners like me who have no knowledge of Sanskrit.
    to get the correct pronunciation

    Kind regards,
    Jay
