Latest Photos of SRS Mutt, Mantralaya

The next 3 days is very exciting for me. The past couple of days were really depressing after dropping my Daughter to her college. During the Aaradhane my Daughter used to sit with me and listen to all the songs and stotras I used to recite all the 3 days.  I will be missing her so much the next couple of weeks during all the festivals.  Just thinking of our dearest Gurugalu, and knowing that I will be doing his seva brings a great relief and joy to my mind.

I was checking if there was anything new online at SRSMutt, Mantralaya and found out about the new pictures that were uploaded just today. So, attached below is the link for the 2010 Aaradhane Vishesha Pooja photographs. You can also see Moola Rama Devaru and also the current Swamigalu. The picture of the brindavana is just amazing.

Many many thanks and namaskaras to SRS MUTT web master, and everyone involved for sharing this with all the Rayaru devottes around the world.

MAY SHREE RAGHAVENDRA SWAMY BLESS EVERYONE. SRI RAGHAVENDRAYA NAMAHA.

Marriage Sloka, Child Sloka

Ms. Shubha Sridhara has contributed these two slokas.  Thanks Ms. Shubha.

Attached below is Ms. Shubha’s document as she sent it to me.

Dear friends,

As I some requests for early marriage and for having children ,I had some shlokas regarding this. The shlokas are very simple and can be recited  after taking a bath, while doing the  puja to Goddess Lakshmi or Goddess Gowri. Many of my relatives have done this and are happy with the results. I too have done this. I have recited these shlokas many a times, so it is by heart.

This  shloka is for early marriage :

Kathyayini mahamaye maha yoginyadhishwari |

Nanda gopa sutam devi pathim may kurute namaha||

This shloka is for having a child:

P.S: We are traveling to University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill on Thursday August 19th 2010 evening to drop my daughter for her college studies. We will back at home on Sunday night. So, more updates and comments moderation will be done from Monday August 23rd 2010.

So, until than Happy Shravana Masa, Vara MahaLakshmi Pooje, Upakarma and Raksha Bhandan.

Upakarma Procedure

While cleaning the pooja room last week, found this old worn out paper which had the procedure for performing Upakarma (changing the sacred thread ಜನಿವಾರ as called in Kannada). I thought it would be helpful to most men who visit this blog and so scanned the same. The page as I mentioned is very old, please click on it to see a bigger image.
