Is there a Pappad ಹಪ್ಪಳ which is healthy? Yes, indeed. I love Pappad, but avoid eating or even making anything which is fried. Once in a while it is Ok to eat fried stuff, but not regularly right? So, this version of Pappad can be eaten everyday with no guilty feeling at all.
Of course, you can make these on the Gas stove directly also, but chances are they get burnt quite often.
It is simple, quick, easy and healthy. So, here is what you need.
1. Pappad as many as you want
2. A non stick pan
3. 1 onion, tomato, cilantro finely chopped. If you don’t eat onion, replace with carrot. If you don’t eat carrot also, just use tomatoes and cilantro. Add salt to taste, red chilli to taste and some lemon juice.
4. A few drops of oil
1. Place the non stick pan on the gas stove. Add a drop of oil. Place the pappad on the pan.
3. Place each Pappad on a plate and spread the onion, tomato, cilantro mixture.
4. Serve with Tea.
