Shri Raghavendra Swamy Picture at my house.

There is no dearth for lyrics on Shri Raghavedra Swamy. It would take me almost years to post all the songs I have on Rayaru. So, here comes one which when you hear being sung by Sri Vidyabhushana feel like Rayaru is actually walking out of the brindavana and coming near you.

Yeddu baruthare Node, tha
eddu baruthare Node ||pa||

Muddu Brindavanada Madyadolaginda
Thiddi hachida nama Mudregaloputhive

Galadolu Shri Tulasi Nalinakshi Malegalu
Cheluva Mukhadolu Poleva Danthagalinda ||1||

Hridaya Sadanadalli Padubhanamana Bhajisi
Mudamanadinda Nitya SadaMalaRoopa Thali ||2||

Data Guru Jaganatha Vittalana
Prithiya Padisutha Doothara Poreyutha ||3||

You can listen to this song from the album Sri Raghavendra Dayanidhe sung by Sri Vidyabhushana

  1. Good photo. I have a photo of the first Brindavana of Rayaru outside Mantrakaya. Rayaru entered Brindavana in 1671 and the Brindavana at Budhikote in Kolar district was set up in 1681. If you want to share it on the blog, I can post it

    Thanks Meera, You took me on a trip to my good old days. First time I had heard this song in the voice of Belluru sisters. It’s so sweet!

    Please note that this is not a Kriti of Jagannatha Dasru.. It is by Guru Jagannatha Dasaru from Koutalam, near Adoni..

  4. Meera, I accidentally stumbled upon this website and just loved it. I am Madhwa Brahmin. Your recipes just brought in a lot of childhood memories of food — of authentic madhwa brahmin cooking.
