SRI RAGHAVENDRA – THE SAINT OF MANTRALAYA – PART 1

Rayaru 2

This Thursday, I finished reading Part one of the book SRI RAGHAVENDRA – THE SAINT OF MANTRALAYA. As mentioned earlier, the original book is written by SRI AMMAN SATHIYANATHAN and the English translation by SRI K.LAKSHMAN.

As I was reading the book, I felt I was actually living during the age of our Beloved Rayaru. The book is divided into 3 parts. Part 1 about the life of Sri Raghavendra Swamy, part 2 about miracles he performed during his life, and part 2 covers miracles he performed while he entered Brindavana.

Part 1 starts with Raghavendra Swamy as a divine messenger, his birth as Prahlada, how Hiranyakshapu was destroyed, about Vyasarajaru. The chapter which talks about Raghavendra Swamys poverty brought tears. As you keep reading the chapter when Raghavendra Swamy decides he will take Sanyasa, and Saraswati Bhai his wife commits suicide brings tears rolling down your eyes. Like I said, many chapters you will not be able to control your emotions.

Part 2 is the miracles Rayaru performed while he took Sanyasa. There was nothing new I didn’t know about, in spite of that as you keep reading the book, your devotion doubles and triples. Even though you know the life history and miracles our Rayaru has performed, this part still brings chills to your body.

Part 3 again is the miracles Rayaru performed once he entered Brindavana. Some incidents are mind blowing, but you keep on reading even if you know each and every miracle memorized.

Reading this book, will definitely make you feel humbled to know how many people worship him, and how our beloved Rayaru has blessed the good, the bad and even the most bad people.

The last chapter tells step by step how to perform seva to our Rayaru at Mantralaya and at home. I wanted to share those pages, but as soon as I saw the copyright on the very first page decided not to.

If you have the resources and the time to read the book, please go ahead and purchase the Same. As Sri Canchi Ravi Sir mentioned, it is being translated in Kannada also.

Once again I would like to Thanks Sri. Canchi Ravi sir for sending me this Jewel. It is priceless for me. I pray to Rayaru that he shower his choicest blessings on Sri. Canchi Ravi.

MAY SREE RAGHAVENDRA SWAMY BLESS ONE AND ALL.

Significance of Pushya-Arka Yoga – April 26th 2015

RaghavendraSwamy

The common interpretation of Pushyaarka Yoga is the combination of Pushya Nakshatra and Sunday. This common interpretation is when moon entering Pushya nakshatra on Sunday is PushyArka yoga .

Raghavendra Mutta says “On this Holy day one should Recite or Chant Guru Stotra ( Raghavendra Stotra)s, Singing songs will bring happiness and prosperity in your life.”

The significance of this day is also mentioned in Rayara Stotra – 27th Stanza.

Anyone who recites this holy Sri Raghavendra Stotram 108 times with intense devotion, on the occasion of solar/lunar eclipse or the combination of Sunday with the star Pushya, will be relieved of all evil influence, e.g., haunting etc. (27)

An Amazing Gift from Shri. Canchi Ravi

IMG_2741IMG_2746

Today through the post I received a very valuable gift from Shri. Canchi Ravi. I have no words to express my happiness as I opened the package. It is the amazing set of 9 books on our Beloved Rayaru. As mentioned here earlier by Shri. Canchi Ravi, the original series written in Tamil is by Amman Sathiyanathan. And the English translation by K. Lakshman.

It is really a gift for me from our Beloved Rayaru was what my Father told me when I informed him about this. For Shri. Canchi Ravi to send it to me all the way from India, and costing several thousand rupees is just really a miracle. I truly believe it is Rayaru who wants me to spread the message and his miracles through this blog and hence gave the thought to Shri. Canchi Ravi to send it to me. I have received several gifts in my life but none as precious as this one.  It has brought immense joy to me. I know my beloved Rayaru has blessed me.

Each of these books has close to 500 pages. I am hoping to complete 1 book every month. And as I read the same, I will post snippets and quotes from the book to share the miracles of our Beloved Rayaru.

I really have no words I can see fit in the English or for that matter any dictionary to thank Shri. Canchi Ravi. Sir, my shanstanga namaskaras to you. And as and when I finish each book in the series, I will share it with other people to read as well.

Women in Cyber Security

Last week, Friday and Saturday I attended and spoke at the Women in Cyber Security Conference (WiCyS). The Conference took place in Atlanta, USA on March 27th and 28th. The main goals of the conference was:

  • Security professionals worldwide are expected to increase to nearly 4.2 million by 2015.
  • Women’s representation in this male-dominated field of security is alarmingly low.
  • WiCyS expects to raise awareness about the importance and nature of cyber security career .
  • Hopes to generate interest among students to consider cyber security as a viable and promising career option.

All of the keynote speakers were women in top positions in Cyber Security.

  • Jenn Lesser Henley, Facebook
  • Sherri Ramsay, CyberPoint
  • Phyllis Schneck, Department of Homeland Security
  • Angela Kay, Microsoft

I gave a Technical Presentation on “Know Your Enemy, and Yourself: Demystifying Threat Modeling”.

I was amazed to see so many women and young college girls attend the conference. This being just the second year of the conference there were 500 security professionals who attended. It was an interesting mix of students, professors and security professionals who attended.

I thought as this blog is growing, what a great idea it would be if you all as a Mother, Father, Husband, Sister could help your daughter, son, wife or sister to join this amazing profession. I am glad I was able to find the Job which is my passion, I work like crazy, never complain, except for the traffic when I go to work.

If you have anyone who is interested to join this profession, either here in the United States or in Bangalore, India leave a comment and send me your resume.

Yes, you read it correct. My Company Cigital has a branch in Bangalore, India.
