Rayara Brindavana in Maryland

Today we visited the Sri Bhaktha Anjaneya Temple also called as SBAT temple at Fingerboard Road, Fredricksburg, Maryland. One of the many priests Shri. Balakrishna Bhat had performed the Gruhapravesha of our home in 2008. He is from Vidyapeetha in Bangalore. He performs most rituals for us.

The main diety here Anjaneya.

The pratisthapana of the Brindavana was performed yesterday. Attached below are some pictures of the temple and if you are in the DC area, visit the temple.

My house which is 10 miles from DC, and the temple is 43 miles from my house. There is a toll road just a few blocks from my house. So we reach the temple in 45 mins. Should be same from DC.

I follow your postings regularly. It is so nice to see that staying in U S A you are continuing to keepup our Indian traditions. My heartiest congratulations.I am presently listening to a discourse by HH Adimar Mutt Swamiji on Bhagavata Tatparya Nirnaya of Sri Madhvacharya. Its is very nice and very informative. I am enclosing one audio file containing his discourse. If you listen to this clip (of audio file) there is some mention about Ekalavya.   I would like to get clarification on the followingThe discourse I am referring to isat the time of Kamsa’s slaying by Sri Krishna. As soon as Jarasandha comes toknow about the slaying of Kamsa he decides to attack Mathura. In this war SriKrishna and Sri Balarama defeat (perhaps in the first of 18 wars) Jarasandha. It is mentioned that in this war Ekalavya had also come and was defeated by SriKrishna and Sri Balarama.              SriSwamiji says, further that at this time Arjuna and other Pandavas were still in Forestsince their birth. Their father Pandu was still alive. Arjuna was about 14years old.              As Iunderstand Pandavas and Kunthi subsequently (after the death of Pandu) go to Hastinapura.  Sri Dronacharya starts teaching Pandavas and Kauravas after thi.. During this time Ekalavya approaches SriDronacharya for learning Archery.                   If Ekalavya knew the Archery at that time (much before he came toSri Dronacharya), why did he approach Sri Dronacharya to become his deciple? Can you clarify this?  K G B DossBengaluru
