P.S: Thanks to everyone who commented and several of you who sent emails. Sneha has read each and every comment and email. She says ” Thanks so much everyone!”. I really really appreciate your comments and emails.
In a few years, our daughter Sneha will become Dr.Sneha Rao. She finally decided to join Duke University School of Medicine this fall. It was a tough choice for her as well as for us. Sneha was offered MD seats and MD-PHD seats at several colleges including University of Maryland which is very close to our place and University of North Carolina where she actually studied.
Last year this time we were all unsure where she will get into medical schools, and what she will be doing. It was her hard work, passion and focus which helped her get into several medical schools. She finally chose Duke University School of Medicine which is ranked No.5 best Medical School in the States.
It was a tough choice again for us as parents since North Carolina is almost 300 miles and close to 6 hours drive than the University at Maryland which would have taken us 30 mins to see her. However, knowing how passionate she is about becoming a Doctor, and the research facilities she will have at Duke, we said yes with a heavy heart.
This is again a blessing from our beloved Rayaru. All major events at my place coincidentally take place on Thursdays.
As my extended family members, I wanted to share this good news with you all.
I am amazed by the responses I saw on the blog and the many emails I received after I posted the pictures for Sree Krishna Janmasthami. Many of you congratulated Sneha and sent your wishes. I conveyed and read each and every comment to Sneha. Sneha was very appreciative and said Thanks to each and every one of you.
In several of those emails, many of you asked to see Sneha and if I could share her picture. I had posted a picture of Sneha in Sree Krishna Janmasthami pictures. Sneha was hidden in the collage. As you all may have noticed, I never post any personal pictures here. However, based on all the requests I finally decided to break the rule. I have uploaded two pictures of Sneha, the second one was her Graduation picture taken in May.
Once again, from Sneha, my Husband and myself, a BIG THANKS FOR ALL THE WISHES. I cannot believe I have such a wonderful family online. Thanks for all the support.
