Rayaru in Mom’s Dream

screen-shot-2016-11-30-at-9-15-58-pm

About a few months back, my dad had severe cough and cold, as usual he went to a Doctor close to home and got medicine. Even after a week his symptoms never improved, and he started having swelling in this throat and could hardly swallow anything. The Doctor suggested seeing an ENT specialist.

ENT specialist did ultrasound and found out he had stones in his salivary duct glands. Since there was lot of infection due to puss formation, they decided Dad needs to stay in the hospital for couple days to get rid of the infection first. Dad was in the hospital for 5 days, got better and better. The ENT surgeon suggested getting the stones removed by Surgery. Dad was against surgery and kept saying he didn’t want to have one at the age of 83.

Like I have told you all, Mom and Dad are great devotees of Rayaru. Every sloka, stotra I know I have learnt from them. So, when I called my parents, my Mom told me she will do Rayara seva for 3 days if he cures dad without having surgery. I told my Mom ” Amma, why are you testing our Rayaru by saying such things. We are all humans, such things happen to our body, the surgery is very simple, please don’t ask Rayaru that”. Mom was adamant.

Dad stayed in the hospital for 5 days, came back home, they consulted an Ayurveda Doctor and started getting treatment. Dad started getting better, could eat better, and things went back to normal. My Sister visited India end of December, they traveled to Tirupathi with her and almost everyone forgot about the seva they had promised Rayaru.

Last week as we were driving to SBAT for Madhwa Navami festival, my mom told me the amazing incident. Saturday early morning Rayaru came in her dream, gave her threee bananas and asked her ” Amma, seve maduthini antha helidyala, marathe bitteya?”( for those of you who don’t understand Kannada, “Amma, you told me you are going to do seva, did you forget?”)..

Mom couldn’t understand for almost few hours what the dream was, and after taking shower and when she was reciting Rayara stotra she said it flashed to her that Rayaru came and asked for her to complete the seva she had promised. As mom was telling me her dream, I kept telling her” Amma, yentha bhakthi ninnadu, Rayaru bandhu ninna nanna seve madu antha helabekadare”( for those of you who don’t understand Kannada, I said Amma, your bhakthi is great, how fortunate you are for Rayaru to come in your dream and ask to complete the seva”).

I was a little worried how Mom was going to do the seva at this age. She started the seva on Monday last week, completed three days of Seva, on Thursday she performed KanakabhiShekha for Rayaru at 4th T block temple, and also had food at the temple. Mom and Dad are just amazed by our Rayaru’s grace. They can’t stop telling the same incident over and over again. The surgery was something which was bothering both of them very much, and at for Rayaru to have listened to them shows how karunamayi our beloved Rayaru is.

I mentioned this dream of Mom yesterday during our Monthly Satsangha. And I had to share with you all my extended family as well.

This shows that if you have complete faith in our Beloved Rayaru he will protect his devotees. Rayare Gathiyu Namage – Guru Rayaru is our ultimate saviour. Guru Sarvabhowma Ki Jai as I always say.

Thank you so much for sharing Meera Ma’am. Your mom is truly blessed to have such a deep connection with our beloved Rayaru. This speaks volumes of her strong devotion. May her staunch devotion be a model to us all.

I was reading a book recently where there were several examples of how children choose to be born to their parents due to various karmic connections and the strong bond they have with their parents to be. They see their parents as their spiritual gurus who will help them reach their goals in life. After reading the numerous glorious stories of devotion you have written about your parents , it feels like you were born to them so that you could draw inspiration from their devotion to Rayaru. And furthermore by sharing these miracles you are making the devotion in hearts of others blossom. God bless you for that. You truly have been blessed by God to inspire others.

Thanks again for sharing these heartwarming stories of devotion. Please convey our heartfelt namaskaras to your parents- the great devotees.

And like you aptly said ‘Guru sarvabhouma ki Jai’:)
