Hosa Kannu Enage Lyrics & Audio

The past few weeks I had taken the much needed vacation. I visited my Sisters place and recorded a few songs. This is an amazing song written by Shree Indiresha Dasaru – ಇಂದಿರೇಶ ದಾಸರು. Thanks Suma for the amazing melodious voice. God Bless You!

This entire song is basically asking Sri Lakshmi to give new eyes so you can see Vasudeva’s suta- son, Sri Krishna. Each verse is asking Lakshmi to rid the worldliness of desires to food, pleasures, relatives, so you can get to Sri Hari. Listen to song sung by my Sister Suma. I will post the lyrics here soon in Kannada and English.

 

Why God Doesn’t Hear My Prayers?

Why god doesn’t hear my prayers? This is a common question all of us have, we question our devotion, we question our Bhakthi, we question the way we prayed, we also question if God is even there. This happens to me, to you, and everyone else who goes through tough times.

When good things happen we never ask why did this happen to me? However, when we go through tough times, and we see no light at the end of the tunnel, we ask these questions, why me? Why am I the one who is suffering so much? Why is that other person who doesn’t even pray to God have such a great life? Why is God testing me? How much more can I bear?

I am quite sure each and everyone of us, especially me has asked the above questions a million times. This video really really answers very well every question I raised above. I had tears the very first time I listened to the video. I am at peace with all the challenges I am going through now,  went through before and will go through the remainder of my life. The only thing I will pray to the Lord Almighty and our beloved Rayaru is to give me utmost strength to bear all those challenges he will throw at me.

Carrot Beetroot Soup

It is getting cold day by day, and the body and mind craves for something hot, spicy and yet healthy everyday. My daughter gave me the recipe for this yummy soup which is full of nutrients. I was given the Instant Pot(IP) by Ms. Vani (Extended Sister) and I have been using it religiously since.

Ingredients:

• 3 carrots – washed and cubed
• 1 large Beetroot – washed and cubed
• 2 medium size onions – chopped
• 1 tsp each – turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder
• 3/4 cup – Almond milk(optional)
• salt to taste
• 1 tsp Olive oil

Method:

• Turn on the IP to sauté, add oil and fry onion
• when onions turn translucent, add turmeric, coriander, cumin and red chili powder and fry.
• Add carrots and beetroot and fry for 2 minutes
• Now add salt, water to completely cover the vegetables
• Turn the IP to soup setting, and the time was 35 minutes
• Once the vegetables are cooked, blend with a immersion blender
• If you don’t have one, you can blend in your mixer once the soup is cool
• Next, add almond milk ( optional) and bring to a slow boil
• Serve the soup with some crushed black pepper and some olive oil

 

Daily Saligrama Pooja Procedure

ನಿತ್ಯ ದೇವರ ಪೂಜೆ ಮಾಡ ಬಯಸುವವರು. ಹಾಗು ಕಾಲದ ಒತ್ತಡ ಇರುವವರು ಮೂವತ್ತು ನಿಮಿಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಕೆಳಕಂಡಂತೆ ದೇವರ ಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬಹುದು. (ಸಂಗ್ರಹ)

1. ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ

ಅಪವಿತ್ರ: ಪವಿತ್ರೊ ವಾ ಸರ್ವಾವಸ್ಥಾಂ ಗತೊಪಿ ವಾ |

2. ದೀಪವನ್ನು ಹಚ್ಚುವುದು ನಂತರ ಆಚಮನ ಮಾಡುವುದು. ಕೇಶವಾದಿ ನಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ಪ್ರಾಣಾಯಾಮ ಮಾಡುವುದು

6. ನಂತರ ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮ, ದೇವರ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಅಭಿಷೇಖದ ತಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟು ಅಭ್ಭೃಣೀ ಸೂಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವುದು ಕಲಶದ ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ಅಭಿಷೇಖ ಮಾಡುವುದು.

ಅಭಿಷೇಖ ಮಾಡಿದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಬೇರೆ ತೆಗೆದಿಡುವುದು ಇದು ನಿರ್ಮಾಲ್ಯ ತೀರ್ಥ.

7. ಅಭಿಷೇಖ – ಕಲಶದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಶಂಖದಿಂದ ತಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ

8. ಅಲಂಕಾರ ಅಲಂಕಾರ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ಹೂಗಳು, ಅಕ್ಷತೆ ತುಳಸಿಯಿಂದ, ಕೇಶವ ನಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ ಹಾಕಬೇಕು. ಸಮಯವಿದ್ದರೆ ವಿಷ್ಣು ಸಹಸ್ರನಾಮ, ಕೃಷ್ಣಾಷ್ಟಕ, ದ್ವಾದಶ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರ ಹೇಳಬಹುದು.

10. ದೀಪ ದೀಪವನ್ನು ಹಚ್ಚುವುದು.

ಸಾಜ್ಯಂ ತ್ರಿವರ್ತಿ ಸಂಯುಕ್ತಂ ವಹ್ನಿನಾ ಯೊಜಿತಂ ಮಯಾ|
ದೀಪಂ ಗ್ರುಹಾಣ ದೇವೇಶ ತ್ರೈಲೋಕ್ಯ ತಿಮಿರಾಪಹ||

11. ನೈವೇದ್ಯ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಚೌಕಾಕಾರ ಮಂಡಲವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಅದರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಓಂ ಶ್ರೀ ಎಂದು ಬರೆದು ಅದರಮೇಲೆ ನೈವೇದ್ಯವನ್ನು (ತಟ್ಟೆ ಅಥವಾ ತಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಳೆ ಎಲೆಯಮೇಲೆ ) ಇಡಬೇಕು.

ಶ್ರೀ ವಾಸುದೇವನು ಅನ್ನದಲ್ಲಿ, ಸಂಕರ್ಷಣನು ಇತರ ಭಕ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ , ಪ್ರದ್ಯುಮ್ನನು ಪಾಯಸದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅನಿರುದ್ಧನೂ ತುಪ್ಪದಲ್ಲಿ, ನಾರಾಯನು ಎಲ್ಲದರಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.

12. ಪರಿಶಿಂಚಾಮಿ ನೈವೇದ್ಯದಮೇಲೆ ಕಳಸದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಉದ್ಧರಣೆಯಿಂದ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು. ಪ್ರತಿಭಾರಿ.

ಓಂ ಸತ್ಯಂತ್ವರ್ತೇನ ಪರಿಶೀಚಾಮಿ.

13. ರಾಮಾ ನೈವೇದ್ಯ. ತಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಭಕ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು. ಇನ್ದಡೋದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿ. ಇದನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ

ರಮಾ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾದಯೋ ದೇವಃ ಸನಕಾದ್ಯ ಶುಕಾದಯಃ |
ಶ್ರೀ ನೃಸಿಂಹಃ ಪ್ರಸದೋಯಂ ಸರ್ವೇ ಗ್ರುಹ್ಣಂತುವೈಷ್ಣವಾಃ ||

14. ಮಂಗಳಾರತಿ

ವೆಂಕಟೆಶೋ ವಾಸುದೇವಃಪ್ರದ್ಯುಮ್ನೋಮಿತ ವಿಕ್ರಮಃ|
ಸಂಕರ್ಷ್ಣೋನಿರುದ್ಧಶ್ಚ ಶೆಷಾದ್ರಿ ಪತಿರೇವಚ||
ಜನಾರ್ಧ್ನಃ ಪದ್ಮನಾಭೋ ವೆಂಕಟಾಚಲವಾಸನಃ|
ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಕರ್ತಾ ಜಗನ್ನಾಥೋ ಮಾಧವೋ ಭಕ್ತವತ್ಸಲಃ||
ಕಲ್ಯಾಣದ್ಭುತ ಗಾತ್ರಾಯ ಕಾಮಿತಾರ್ಥ ಪ್ರದಾಯಿನೇ|
ಶ್ರೀ ಮದ್ವೇಂಕಟನಥಾಯ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸಾಯತೇ ನಮಃ||

15. ಸಮರ್ಪಣಾ ತುಳಸೀ ದಳ , ಅಕ್ಷತೆ, ಹೂವನ್ನು ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡಿದು ಮಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ಪಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಕುವುದು.

ಯಸ್ಯಸ್ಮೃತ್ಯಾಚ ನಾಮೋಕ್ತ್ಯಾ ತಪೇಪೂಜಾಕ್ರಿಯಾದಿಷು ನ್ಯೂನಂ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ
ತಾಂಯಾತಿ ಸದ್ಯೋವಂದೇ ತಮಚ್ಯುತಂ ಮಂತ್ರಹೀನಂ ಕ್ರಿಯಾಹಿನಂ ಭಕ್ತಿಹಿನಂ ರಮಾಪತೇ|
ಯತ್ಕೃತಂತು ಮಯಾದೇವ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣಂ ತದಸ್ತುಮೆ||

ತೀರ್ಥ, ತುಳಸಿ , ಗಂಧ, ಅಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ದೇವರ ಪ್ರಸಾದವೆಂದು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಬಕು.
ವಿ.ಸೂ : 16 ತರಹದ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗೆ ಷೋಡಶ ಉಪಚಾರ ಪೂಜೆ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಧ್ಯಾನ, ಆವಾಹನ, ಆಸನ, ಪಾದ್ಯ , ಅರ್ಘ್ಯ, ಆಚಮನ, ಸ್ನಾನ, ವಸ್ತ್ರ ಯಜ್ನೋಪವೀತ, ಗಂಧ, ಪುಷ್ಪ , ಧೂಪ, ದೀಪ, ನೈವೇದ್ಯ, ತಾಂಬೂಲ, ನೀರಾರ್ಜನ.

Vaikunta Ekadashi falls in the month December-January. This year it falls on December 18th 2018. This is observed with all solemnity in the temples of Lord Vishnu. Please check your local calendars to see when it falls.

Vaikunta Ekadashi is of great significance at the Tirupati Balaji Temple, and also all Balaji temples. They prepare what is called a “Swargada Bagilu” also called as ‘Vaikunta Dwaram’ or ‘the gate to the heaven‘ This gate is opened on this day. This is the passage encircling the innermost sanctum of the Lord. Scores of devotees queue up to pass through the Gate of Vaikunta in the temples.

For the devotees of Lord Vishnu, every Ekadashi is a very sacred day No rice should be eaten on Ekadashi days. This is very important.

Those who are unable to fast completely can take some light fruit and milk. So you may ask why we shouldn’t eat rice, so here comes the story for the same.

The sweat that fell down from the head of Brahma assumed the form of a demon and said to the Lord, “O Lord! now give me an abode to dwell.” Brahma replied, “O demon! go and dwell in the rice particles eaten by men on Ekadashi day and become worms in their stomach.” For this reason rice is prohibited on Ekadashi.

If you don’t believe in this story, just think of all the benefits you can get from fasting.

Fasting makes a man strong, both spiritually and mentally.Fasting controls passion. It checks the emotions. It controls the senses also. It is good to fast once in a while as it recuperates the body. Ekadashi observance cleans our body and the digestive organs get much needed rest.

Those people suffering from ailments and on medications should take the advice of a doctor before fasting. Never torture your body in the name of religion. There is nothing wrong in having fruits or milk. And you can bring a certain amount of flexibility in the way it is observed.
