I was looking for a dictionary from Kannada -English while I was earlier trying to translate Sri Harikathamruta Sara. I finally found it. I hope this helps the many visitors who wish to translate from both these languages and many times face a tough time really getting the correct work.

Runa = ಋಣ = RuNa = obligation, loan, debt, liability, indebtedness
( meaning depends on the context )
Abhari = ಆಭಾರಿ = AbhAri = one who has recieved a favour, the obliged person, beneficiery

To the extent I remember (I’d looked it up when we studied kannaDavE satya in 9th), it was given to be “ondu jAtiya pakShi” (not that that answers your question). I somehow think though that it is perhaps a myna, because the poem had kAjANake giLikOgileyimpige, and I can’t think of another bird that makes melodious chirps.
