Two weeks back found this picture on FB and couldn’t control my tears. It is an amazing picture, may our Beloved Rayaru bless whoever painted this picture. All credit goes to the person who painted. I am just sharing to show how beautiful and heart touching the picture is.
Look at how Rayaru is singing and how Lord Krishna one hand behind and another holding a flute is looking at our Beloved Rayaru. Just stunning picture.
We had an amazing satsangha today at Ms. Rajani Srinivas house at Maryland. Ms. Rajani sang a song on Lord Krishna which was so meaningful and beautiful. I asked for her to send me the lyrics, and so I am posting it here to help all my extended family.
The song like I said is beautiful, heart touching and so emotional. Thanks Rajani for the lyrics.
Below is the link for the lyrics and the video on youtube.
As a kid, I grew up listening my parents recite Shri Venkatesha Parijatha, Sreenivasa Kalyana during the Dasara days. Last time I visited India, I went to Vidya Peetha to get these books. However, they were not available. Yesterday, in our whataspp group message Mrs. Anita Kulkarni asked me about this. I said I had listened to it as a kid but had not got the books. She immediately sent me the links for the audio. It is unbelievable how the internet and the world has changed. I was able to listen Part 1. Hoping to listen each part every day until the final Vijaya Dashami day. Thanks Anita Avare.
Found a rare PDF in Kannada. Have downloaded the same and uploaded in my Google Drive.
Please find the link here, and you can download and print the same.
What can I say? The much awaited festival is over and after the Ganesha festival I sat in front of the Lord and stared at him for almost an hour. I just couldn’t believe the festival was over. It was the most hectic week. I just can’t believe how much energy, mental strength and patience it takes to perform these festivals as per traditions during the week. It was tough, but at the end well worth every minute we spent. This year my daughter was able to join us, so it was extra special.
Most flowers, banana leaf, Tulasi, grass-garike, patre leaves were from our garden. Mango leaves and Betel Leaves from my Sister’s garden.
As always, sharing some pictures for you all. Hope you all had a wonderful Ganesha Festival.
I planned on making simple food, but like I said since my daughter was there, it was complete in itself. Except modaka, which I couldn’t make.
These set of mantras were sent to me on whatsapp by my Sister Suma. However, there are many in the community who don’t know Kananda. I did my humble seva to Lord Krishna by quickly typing the same in English. All credit to whoever wrote the original text, I just translated the slokas.
Family,
Today is janmashtami. As per Srimad Acharya’s “ಜಯಂತಿ ನಿರ್ಣಯ Jayanthi Nirnaya” – a very powerful day to destroy major sins over many births if you do pray Krishna and fast on this day. How do we remember Krishna throughout the day?
Srimad Acharya had revealed some important but simple things to perform throughout the day and next day ಪಾರಣೆ. Try to chant these simple mantras at the times indicated:
I have posted the complete lyrics in an earlier blog post, however the shorter version was what my Mysore Ajji taught us. We are learning this song as part of our weekly group and so decided to post the shorter version.
As promised, I am updating all of you on the Satsangha we had on May 21st, Sunday. It was just an amazing experience to host for the 2nd time at my place.
We started promptly at 10.30 AM. We started with Shree Vishnu Sahasranama and later covered all the songs mentioned on the Satsangha web site. The entire home filled with chanting of Shree Raghavendra, and that was such a humbling experience. I also used technology to make sure my parents could join and listen through whatsapp. Mom and Dad later told me they were reciting along with us. A humbling experience and amazed and glad about the latest and greatest in technology. I wanted to post the pictures immediately but Like I said I have been traveling quite a lot, and as soon as we finished the satsangha I traveled to Minneapolis for work.
Ms. Rekha came early in the morning to help me cook. Lalitha Aunty stayed back to helped us clean. Thanks so much Rekha and Aunty. And of course, I couldn’t host this without the support from my Husband Raghu. Like my brother always says “Your beloved Raghavendra is looking down upon you from up there, and your husband Raghavendra is with you helping on earth” How appropriate right?
We prepared food items this time instead of pot luck. Items we prepared are listed below:
Two kosambaris – Moong Dal and Channa Dal
Two Palyas, Vegetables – Potato capsicum and Semebandnekayi Palya
Rayara Kootu
Rasam
Plain dal – Thove
Hayagreeva
Mango Chitranna
Rice
Papad and Sandige
Majjige
Lemon Panaka
Please find attached the Satsangha Pictures for 2017.

As I was browsing through FB, I found this amazing link which gave a complete day to day activities of our Beloved Rayaru in the greatest detail as written by Sree Appanacharya who resided with Rayaru for several decades. This is one of the Prayers Sree Appanacharyaru used to recite. The very first time I read the Stotra and the meaning, I had tears rolling down my eyes. I couldn’t wait to share it with you all devotees of Rayaru.
Below is the Stotra in Kannada and Baraha English. You can copy and paste in Baraha and translate to any language of your choice.

The meaning of the stotra goes like this:
O king of Sanyasis, O Ramachandra’s worshipper, O Raghavendra Guru, protect me
Please do reside within me, please do get me to your place. Protect me in all ways, all worlds, and always. I am praying to you to fulfill my smallest desires, I am the smallest among small being. I am the follower of your lotus feet, please protect me.
Victory be yours. May I be protected by your grace. I salute to you. I salute to you once again. I salute to your granthas. I salute to you who prays to Lord Hari. I salute to your hands which worshiped Lord Hari, and composed and studied Guru Madhwacharya’s granthas.
I salute to you who is praised by one and all in this world. I salute to you, I salute to you once again.
I tried my best getting the message out, if you know Sanskrit, please do correct the meaning. Hope you all recite this amazing stotra to get the blessings of our beloved Rayaru.
