An amazing picture of Goddess Lakshmi I received from my Lalitha Aunty by email. Sharing with you all.
So many of you over the past year or so had asked for the lyrics of Lakshmi Shobane. This song is composed by none other than Sri Vadiraja Swamigalu. My Mom had translated the song to English and sent it to me. She had written these in several pages and posted it to me. I had no time time to type the 112 paragraphs and post it.
However, I regularly visit Hariprasad’s blog. He is also doing amazing work in converting many of our Stotras and providing lyrics in Kannada and English as well. I have blogged about his work several times here in my blog. Just yesterday when I posted the link for Dwadasha Stotra from his blog, I also noticed that he also had converted the lyrics for Lakshmi Shobane into Kannada and English. Thanks so much Hariprasad Avare.

Hi Meera,
I came upon your blog by following a link from another blog. I am also a Madhwa from Bengaluru. I used to live in the DC area for a long time and currently live in Boulder, CO. I have been enjoying reading your blog. I have been performing Vaibhava Lakshmi vrata for the past couple of weeks and what a coincidence that you have posted Lakshmi’s photo. Now when I do my puja on Fridays I can learn to sing songs other than Bhaagyada Lakshmi although it is my alltime favorite. I will be playing your songs after the puja and attempt to follow the lyrics since I do not have them. So what tune is Lakshmi Shobhane sung to?
BTW I am also following your java blog from today.
Thanks,
Meera
Thanks so much, Meera. Lakshmi Shobhane tune you can find on KannadaAudio sung by Sri Vidyabhusan.

Hi Mera.
I was surprised when looking at the pictures of the goddess Lakhsmi. Never heard of it and on Sunday 13th of this month, I had a beautiful dream where the goddess dressed in blue and bright green with lots of gold held me by the hand across a narrow bridge with precious stones. I was struck gold sandals with all jewelry and above them a lotus flower.
I woke up repeating Lasmi and internet searching I have with this Goddess.
Being a Christian I have been amazed at what has happened to me.
A thousand thanks for publishing this beautiful painting.
Eternally grateful.
