ಕಷ್ಟ ಬಂದರೆ ತಾಳು ಕಂಗೆಡದೇ ತಾಳು
ನೆಟ್ಟ ಸಸಿ ಫಲ ತರುವತನಕ ಶಾಂತಿಯ ತಾಳು
ಕಟ್ಟುಬುತ್ತಿಯ ಮುಂದೆ ಉಣಲುಂಟು ತಾಳು || 1 ||

ಹಳಿದು ರಂಜಿಸುವಂತ ಹಗೆಯ ಮಾತನೆ ತಾಳು
ಸುಳಿನುಡಿ ಕುಹಕಾದಿ ಮಂತ್ರವನು ತಾಳು
ಅಳುಕದೆಲೆ ಅರಸು ಬಿಂಕದ ನುಡಿಯ ನೀ ತಾಳು
ಹಲಜರಾನುಜರನ್ನು ಹೃದಯದಲಿ ತಾಳು || 2 ||

ನಕ್ಕು ನುಡಿವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಮುಕ್ಕರಿಸದೆ ತಾಳು
